In June 20, 2010, on the stage of the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet from Chisinau - Opera "Aida" by G. Verdi - The performence is consacrated to the 45th anniversary of creative activity of director, actor and musician Mihai Timofti, "Master of Arts".

In light of fifty-years anniversary of the National Theatre of Opera and Balet from 27th of september 2007, director Mihail Timofti is confered the rank "Master of Arts" by edict of president of Republic of Moldova - Vladimir Voronin.

In autumn 2006 the tours of the State National Theatre of Opera and Ballet took place in the Great Britain and the Republic of Ireland. The operetta "Die Fledermaus" by J. Strauss (English version) had an enormious success among the public. After the tour, the 30th of December the Chisinau dwellers as well as the guests of the capital enjoyed this operetta in English on the stage of the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet. All were surprised by the comedy part of Frosch in Act III performed brilliantly by the stage director M. Timofti.
